The Archie Roach Foundation x Leaps & Bounds Festival proudly present, “Emma Donovan + Singing Our Futures” at Richmond’s Corner Hotel on Thursday 13th July.
All proceeds from ticket sales will go to the Foundation to honour Uncle Archie Roach’s legacy and support the continuation of programs for the next generation of First Nations artists.
Highly celebrated, ARIA-nominated, award winning singer/songwriter, Emma Donovan leads the festival’s opening night celebrations and lends her support to the ‘Singing Our Futures EP launch’ on the night.
Over the last year the Archie Roach Foundation has been hard at work with the inaugural program ‘Singing our Futures’ (SOF), is a mentorship experience that helps emerging First Nations artists on their songwriting and recording journeys. The artists, Kee’ahn, Kiwat Kennell, Madi Colville Walker, Ridzy Ray and Maylene Yinarr have been mentored by some of the country’s leading First Nations legends including Emma Donovan, Emily Wurramara, Dan Sultan, Dobby and Candice Lorrae.
Showcasing the incredible artists involved in the program, the night will officially mark the launch of the debut EP from the Singing Our Futures program - out August 24 via Cooking Vinyl Australia. The event will culminate in a stunning performance from powerhouse Emma Donovan, and her mentee Kee’ahn, on their collaborative track ‘Take No More’.
