Melbourne-based bands Kosmetika and V will be sharing the stage in a live performance for Leaps and Bounds Festival. Kosmetika's dynamic sound is a blend of fuzz-pop and shoegaze, featuring lush soundscapes and rhythms.
V offers a unique fusion of punk, post-punk, and noise rock. This cosmic gig will take place on the lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation on Sunday 16 July, at The Tramway Hotel, 165 Rae St, North Fitzroy. This will be rare opportunity to experience two of Melbourne's most innovative and talented bands in one intimate setting.
Artist Bio
V is an Australian/English gender non-conforming underground musician, artist and producer, whose music practice was forged in the hardcore and leftist scene in Berlin and later fine-tuned in Narrm. V's music takes heavy influence from synth and new wave, noise, punk and dark-wave.
Kosmetika is an eclectic art punk/shoegaze/krautrock inspired collective from Naarm. Made up of members from other local acts such as Delivery, Eggy, Galah, Dr Sure’s Unusual Practise and Ouzo, their fusion of influences from all over the world bring a unique blend of fuzzy guitars, samplers, drums, synths and pop sensibilities. Kosmetika released their second album ‘Illustration’ on Spoilsport Records earlier this year, which showcases the bands new journey into more DIY new wave/heavy synth inspired pop music.
