Harehole Melbourne has gathered a handful of emerging trans punk talent for this a one-of-a-kind gig.
The Great Trans Band Jam featuring Insect Politicks, Walking to the Grocery Store and microsleep - all three bands are bursting with passion, angst and raw gender-diverse energy.
Join us for this roaring night where some of our newest trans members show the potency and diversity of talent in our midst.
If you are a trans, gender diverse or non-binary muso come have a chat with band members—maybe you will find a new band to join or an addition to the line-up at your next gig!
BYO instrument if you’re feeling brave and want to jam with us afterwards!
Contact us if you would like to volunteer your assistance in the lead up or on the night for a free ticket and other volunteer benefits.
Walking to the Grocery Store: Jasper - guitar; En - bass; April - vocals; Ryle - drums; Ren - percussion, keys, vocals.
W2tGC is based in Naarm and is built on improvisation and your four-year-old nephew's deepest thoughts. This band is best known for buying groceries and hating their parents. This is their first live gig. Join these queer comrades in solidarity with this fully sick night.
Insect Politicks: Oly - guitar, bass; Willy - vocals, bass, keys; Lucy - vocals, bass, keys; Max - guitar, drums, vocals; Ryle - drums
Insect Politicks are a Naarm-based band who can't get enough of themselves. If they're yelling with all their might and bleeding all over the stage, don't worry, they're probably just warming up. Lurk around for their first live set and expect trans angst, some goofs and scenes from hell.
microsleep: is a fledgling two-piece all-trans punk band fronted by Victory on voice and guitar, backed by Dawn on drums. From impromptu beginnings in queer share house jams riffing off Mountain Goat covers, they’ve turned Victory’s soulful acoustic originals into heavier mosh-along anthems on trans resilience, and living and loving with mental illness.
