Upsleeve Trickery bring their highly original brand of misdirection to bear on a good mix of original tunes and ones you will recognise. Evolving from their beginnings in school music class at Princes Hill Secondary College, Upsleeve features Lottie, Lola, Lucy, Ilsa, Poppy and Jack. Donning their bucket hats in a blur of genres from latin to funk to 60s country, Upsleeve Trickery make their festival debut at Leaps & Bounds 2022.

Charlie Rolfe is extremely passionate about all things jazz. A year 11 student, Charlie has played piano and trombone recklessly within and without school in various jazz, soul, funk and R&B manifestations. Charlie's band features some killer horns, a tight rhythm section, and a repertoire of original songs in the hard bop style.

The Switches are four teens from the inner north of Melbourne grew up on a diet of punk and indie rock. Each playing multiple instruments, Arlo, Ava, Poppy and Soleil switch it up for each song. They formed the band in 2021 at the tender age of 12, have played several public shows this year and are now writing their own songs. They will be debuting a set of new tunes at thIs Leaps n Bounds Festival show.

YoWo Music is a contemporary music program for young women and gender diverse teens in high school. Founded in 2015 by local Melbourne musicians, YoWo Music strives to nurture confidence in young musicians and highlight a viable pathway to a career in music.

YoWo presents a curated hour of participant bands playing a mix of originals and covers.
